Description

In 2014, a company in the automotive sector and part of a global auto parts group, together with DTC Soluciones, implemented a natural gas trigeneration solution to cover its energy needs in electricity, heat and refrigeration. The system was designed to ensure efficiency, reliability and environmental control in a large-scale industrial operation.

Three C1000 natural gas-fired generation units were installed, configured in a trigeneration scheme. In addition to electricity production, the system recovers heat to feed an absorption chiller, drastically reducing electricity consumption in industrial air conditioning systems.
